What a great place”
Took our American friends for overnight stay when revisiting our former home town. Lez and Derek run a unique B&B in a marvellous Victorian building full of wonderful objects they gave collected to furnish it plus many theatrical and musical pieces memorabilia. Bedrooms comfortable and quirky. Breakfast personally prepared and delicious. The Americans thought it a fabulous stay. The B&B…
My husband and I have just stayed for 2 nights, and I must say we have had a great comfortable stay. The room was just the right size for 2 and the bathroom was huge. Lovely and clean fresh towels and linen daily. Breakfast was wonderful with a selection of cereals, toast, juice, yogurts and a menu of full English…
“5 days in loughborough for work”
Great location. Wonderful furniture. This is no premier inn. Supreme breakfast, Weather was very warm (most unusual). This is not a building equipped for such unusually hot weather although a fan was provided. Wifi good and easy parking. The hosts are silver service. My private bathroom was physically separate from the bedroom. But all worked fine.
“Exceptional value and hospitality ”
We spent six nights at Holywell Guest House to attend a family wedding. It was our first visit and we were astonished at the attention to detail and comfort provided. But the prevailing atmosphere was relaxing and very welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble and the owners could not have been more entertaining and charming. Will never stay anywhere else… More
Stayed for a week in this clean, comfortable, warm and friendly B&B, which is five minutes from the centre of Loughborough. Breakfast is to a high standard and plentiful. Derek and Lez are excellent hosts and went out of their way to help make our stay really enjoyable. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.
Absolutely lovely stay fantastic host and the room was beautiful wish we had booked to stay longer. Derek was so welcoming even helped mum out with an inhaler as she forgot hers and was struggling with her breathing in the morning. Also served a delicious breakfast will definitely visit again xx
This elegant guest house is situation in the town of Loughborough with its endless shops and great outdoor market. We were greeted with a very warm welcome our room was spacious clean and very comfortable with all the little extras that included wifi. Thank you so much for your kindness.
Have stayed here on several occasions now and every time is a pleasure. The cleanliness is superb, Rooms are very comfortable and breakfast is amazing. There is convenient parking at the rear of the property and the owners can’t do enkugh to help. Would recommend.

We stayed in November for one night with our dog. We were provided with a lovely downstairs room with very easy access to the outside for our pet. Ample parking at the rear. Our hosts were very accommodating, warm and pleasant and it was a very peaceful, cosy and lovely place to stay and I would highly recommend it. There is a park opposite and easy walking distance into the town centre. I will very much look forward to returning there.

“comfortable stay”

There are not so many places around Loughborough for a decent night stay. I had a great sleep, a very good breakfast as well as I appreciated the ride that the owner gave me to the city center as I had a problem with my leg. A cozy environment, great hosts, comfortable beds, well equipped rooms and bathroom. I will definetly come back!

“Works Night Out. ”

My work colleagues and I were booked into Holywell House b&b by our employer so that we could stay in Loughborough for the nights Christmas function.
Des and Les keep a beautiful B&B, it must be said. The decor is subtle and fine touches finish off the overall picture. Our hosts were friendly on arrival and information given concisely. Keys handed over we went to the room. Spacious and comfortable, with TV, drinks and firm enough beds. The en suite bathroom in our room was very large, being basically a complete wet room.
Breakfast was well presented. The table was laid out perfectly. Cereals and juices readily available. Tea and coffee offered fresh. Only downside was the full English wasn’t quite that. Mushrooms and tomatoes would have completed the plate full, but what I did have was cooked to my liking.
I would recommend this establishment to anyone requiring a B&B in Loughborough.

We stayed here with friends to attend a local wedding. The rooms were lovely and very comfortable. Everything was beautifully clean. Dazzlingly white towels and bed linen. We were made to feel very welcome although we were only staying for one night. Our host couldn’t have been more helpful. Breakfast was well cooked and presented with as much tea, coffee and toast as we wanted. It was exceptionally good value for money and we were very pleased with our choice. A charming house beautifully presented.

“Fantastic Guest House in a Great Location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 November 2014 via mobile
wow what can I say, we stayed here 3 times on a recent trip to the UK and can’t speak highly enough of the place…….The hosts Derek and Lez are warm and welcoming with a vast knowledge of the local area which they are more than happy to share with you…….The house itself is gorgeous, beautifully decorated in keeping with the building but in a warm and cosy manner that makes you feel at home the minute you walk in the front door……..we stayed in different rooms each visit and they were all spacious, beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and with tea and coffee making facilities and biscuits, very comfortable beds and either ensuite or private bathroom with complimentary toiletries …….breakfast is included in the room rate and is very good and plentiful ……The property is in an ideal location only minutes from the centre of Loughborough and its numerous restaurants with trains and buses close by and a Tesco express practically next door, and in case it rains there are umbrellas by the front door !!!!!
I would heartily recommend this guest house to anyone looking for a warm, friendly welcome right in the heart of Loughborough……will definitely stay again if lucky enough to return to the U K

“Warm and Friendly stay”

I stayed at the Holywell on business and loved the warmth and hospitality of the hosts. I had a spacious and comfortable large room and breakfast was included. The owners went out of their way to be helpful and even gave us a lift in the morning to where we needed to go as taxis were scarce.
For the price, I would definitely recommend it!

Stayed for just one night with Lez & Derek. Nothing any bother for hosts. Most welcoming, friendly and obliging at all times. Immaculate , pristine room and bathroom. Very cosy and comfortable. First rate wifi connection. Excellent hosts with good local knowledge. House tastefully decorated in period style with perfect fixtures and fittings. A self evident labour of love by owners with an exceptional eye for detail.
Top class breakfast catering for all diet types.

“A great find”

Having only booked the day before travel I wasn’t sure what to expect. However I was very pleasantly surprised. A warm welcome greeted me. The room on the third floor was spacious and very well appointed. Although it wasn’t ensuite I had my own shower room adjacent to the room which was perfectly fine. One of my pet hates in hotels, b&bs etc is the standard of bath towels.well I can say that they were lovely and fluffy and large enough to cover ones modesty.!!!!!
Breakfast was very tasty and an excellent choice. I really enjoyed my bacon and scrambled eggs.
Location. Is excellent being just on the periphery of the town centre and was a five minute walk to pubs and restaurants. As I was visiting my son it was perfect as his house was a couple of mins too
So happy in fact that I have booked for graduation day!!!!!!

The guest house is well situated for both the Great Central railway and the town centre
We would definitely stay here again.

You cannot go wrong with this place, wonderful. The bedrooms are amazing I even had a chair to sit at the dressing table. We were there for a wedding and just happened to hit a heatwave but thankfully the folks gave us a fan which totally saved the day. The cleanliness is incredible and the people who own the hotel are so so friendly . They make you feel very welcome. The breakfasts are totally excellent. I cannot recommend this hotel enough well done to the owners.
Room Tip: All rooms are wonderful. It’s like stepping back into a grandeur time

I’m 26 and stayed here myself for a recent competition in Loughborough. Very friendly welcome on arrival.
Rooms are decorated in a lovely vintage style which suits the style of building.
Ideal location to get to the university or a 2 min walk to town.
The price was great and the breakfast was very tasty.
I can’t fault this place.
